Q&A » Ezybox Hotshoe

Does the Nikon SB900 fit the Ezybox Hotshoe?

We have made a modification to our Ezybox Hotshoe plate which means that it is now SB900 compatible. The code for the new plate is 2414.

Can I use my Ezybox Hotshoe with studio flash?

The Ezybox Hotshoe is not designed to take studio flash. The dimensions are such that the light would sit too close to the fabric and may cause damage.

Will the Ezybox Hotshoe fit Sony flash?

Unfortunately the Sony will not fit onto the Ezybox Hotshoe, the bottom of the Sony flash differs from most other manufacturers.

I have a 38cm (15”) Ezybox Hotshoe and I notice that there is only one diffuser, however I thought it came with two?

The 38cm (15”) does only come with one diffuser; however the 60cm (24”) comes with an inner and outer diffuser.

I am having trouble folding my Ezybox Hotshoe to get it back into its case can you help?

If you have a look at this video - it is a slightly different product but it is the same principle, it shows how to get it in the bag.

Does the Ezybox Hotshoe accept the Pocket Wizard (TT5) with my flash gun?

SB800 with PWTT5

The Pocket Wizard TT5 currently will work with the Canon 580EX and the Nikon SB800. It currently will not work with the Nikon SB900, however we are working on a solution.
