What type of lights and how many do you recommend for the HiLite? For the three smallest sizes of HiLite the 4'6"x3'3" (8990) 5'x6' (8857) and 6'x7' (8867) we recommend using one studio light between 200 and 400ws. For instructions on how to set up your HiLite please refer to this video:- http://www.lastoliteschoolofphotography.com/setting-up-the-hilite Is it possible to use continuous lighting in the HiLite? No we do not recommend this. The heat that continuous lights generate may actually cause damage to the HiLite or even a fire. Is it possible to use my HiLite with battery flash? The HiLite was designed for use with studio flash but there are an increasing number of photographers using the product with battery flashguns with successful results. I am using the HiLite with the train and I am having problems with the train looking a different colour to the background? How can I achieve even lighting? The HiLite and the train are made of different materials and so behave differently. Consider lighting the floor with umbrellas rather than a softbox to spread the light more and the excess light will wash across the floor. http://www.lastoliteschoolofphotography.com/tag/hilite-vinyl-train How do I meter the HiLite? You meter between 1 1/2 and 2 stops higher than the subject i.e. key light F8 HiLite F13-F16. How do I fold my HiLite? There are three different methods that can be used to fold the HiLite, all of these methods can be seen in this video:- http://www.lastoliteschoolofphotography.com/different-ways-to-fold-the-lastolite-hilite I have managed to twist the steel in my HiLite whist trying to fold it, can you help?
