Will the stand for the MegaLite fit my existing HiLite?

No the MegaLite stand will only hold the MegaLite which is 6x4ft.

Is it possible to use the MegaLite as a background?

Yes it is possible to use it as a background. However to use this with a model standing up there may be some limitations as the tallest side is 6ft (180cm), it also does not come with a train.

What type of lights and how many do I need to use with my MegaLIte?

You only need one studio flash light between 200 and 400ws.
